Portion Sizes 

Dairy/ Plant based alternative 

Milk/ plant based alternatives - 200ml 

Cheese - Size of a standard matchbox/ 30g 

Yogurt - 1 small pot

Protein - When in a meal aim for 1/4 to 1/3 of your plate  

Meat and poultry - Size of a deck of cards 

Fish - Size Cheque book 

Whole nuts - Golf ball 

Nut butters - 1x tablespoon 

Beans and lentils - 4x tablespoons 

Eggs - 2x

Fruits and vegetables - 5-10 portions per day (1x portion = 80g) 

Small fruits such a plums, satsumas, and kiwis you may require 2

Dried fruits - 1x tablespoon / 30g *Due to the reduced water content dried fruit has a lower serving suggestion

Vegetables - Aim for 1/3 - 1/2 of the plate to be filled with vegetables or a salad

Butter and Oil- 1x teaspoon

If you're reducing your potions and you still feel hungry after a meal, wait 20 minutes to ensure your hungry hormone have dissipated from prior to your meal.

Sometime we can confuse hunger as thrust. 

Fibre, fluids and ensuring that you have a balanced meal can help with hunger. 
It can be easy to over consume foods when you're not being mindful of what you're eating.
