Whereas, anyone can call themselves a nutritionalist.

3. Scope of Practice: Dietitians can work in a variety of environments, including hospitals, clinics, schools, and private practice, providing tailored nutrition advice and managing dietary needs for various health conditions.


While both Dietitians and nutritionists can provide valuable information about nutrition and healthy eating, dietitians have formal training and credentials that enable them to work with individuals with specific medical needs. If you're seeking personalised nutrition advice, especially for health issues, it's generally advisable to consult a registered dietitian.
